Storm damage? We provide FREE inspection, documentation, and adjuster meetings at no extra charge.
Roofing Systems
We install four primary roofing systems. Each includes permit, full tear-off, ice and water shield, and a written warranty.
Asphalt Shingle Roofing
Most PopularAsphalt shingles are the most popular roofing material in Minnesota for good reason: they offer an excellent balance of cost, durability, and appearance. Modern architectural shingles look nothing like the flat 3-tabs of decades past. We install GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed product lines, and as a GAF Master Elite contractor, we can offer up to a 50-year non-prorated System Plus warranty — something fewer than 2% of contractors in the country can provide.
What's Included
- Full tear-off and disposal of old roofing
- Ice and water shield at all eaves and valleys
- Synthetic underlayment on entire deck
- Ridge vent installation or replacement
- New drip edge and flashing
- Permit pulled and inspected
- Yard magnet sweep for nails
- GAF System Plus warranty up to 50 years
Typical Cost Range
$8,000–$18,000 (most homes)
Warranty
Up to 50-year non-prorated
Metal Roofing
Best Long-Term ValueStanding seam metal roofing is the premium choice for Minnesota homeowners who plan to stay long-term. Metal roofs shed snow naturally, are virtually impervious to wind damage, and last 50–70+ years with minimal maintenance. The upfront cost is higher than asphalt, but the lifetime cost per year is dramatically lower. We install steel, aluminum, and Galvalume standing seam systems with concealed fasteners for a clean, architectural look.
What's Included
- Standing seam concealed-fastener system
- Full tear-off of existing roofing
- Underlayment and vapor barrier
- Structural assessment and fastening plan
- Snow guards (optional)
- All flashing and trim custom-fabricated on-site
- Permit pulled and inspected
- Manufacturer lifetime warranty
Cedar Shake Roofing
Aesthetic PremiumCedar shake roofs are beautiful — the natural texture and weathering characteristics are unlike any other material. But they require more maintenance than asphalt or metal, especially in Minnesota's freeze-thaw climate. We install fire-treated western red cedar shake and can apply preservative treatments to extend service life. We recommend annual inspections for any cedar roof in our climate zone.
What's Included
- Fire-treated western red cedar shake
- Breathable synthetic underlayment (required for cedar)
- Ice and water shield at all eaves
- New ridge cap installation
- All flashing and valleys
- Permit pulled and inspected
- First-year inspection included
Typical Cost Range
$22,000–$40,000
Warranty
Varies by product (15–30 years)
Flat & Commercial Roofing
Commercial & Low-SlopeModern flat roofing systems are dramatically superior to old tar-and-gravel roofs. We install TPO, EPDM, and Modified Bitumen systems for both commercial buildings and residential low-slope applications. For Minnesota conditions, we most commonly recommend TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) for its superior performance in cold weather, reflectivity, and seam strength. All commercial projects include a fully detailed scope of work and warranty documentation.
What's Included
- TPO, EPDM, or Modified Bitumen (we recommend based on your situation)
- Full tear-off and deck inspection
- Tapered insulation for drainage (where needed)
- Penetration flashings (HVAC, drains, parapets)
- Seam heat-welding (TPO) or adhesive (EPDM)
- Drain inspection and cleaning
- Commercial permit and inspection
- Up to 30-year manufacturer warranty

Storm Damage & Repair
All storm damage services include free inspection, full photo documentation, and insurance claim assistance.
Emergency Tarping
After a severe storm, we provide same-day or next-day emergency tarping to prevent further interior water damage while we assess the full scope of repairs needed.
Hail Damage Assessment
Our inspectors use drone photography and physical inspection to document every impact point, granule loss area, and compromised shingle. This documentation is what drives your insurance claim.
Wind Damage Repair
Wind damage ranges from a few blown-off shingles to complete sections of roofing. We repair both partial and full wind damage, matching existing materials wherever possible.
Leak Repair
Active leaks demand immediate attention. We identify the source (often not where the water appears), make the repair, and document the fix. We warranty all leak repairs.
Flashing Repair & Replacement
Failed flashing around chimneys, skylights, dormers, and valleys is among the most common causes of roof leaks. We replace flashing with 26-gauge galvanized or aluminum step flashing.
Attic & Ventilation
Poor attic ventilation creates ice dams in winter and heat buildup in summer, degrading shingles from the inside out. We assess ventilation balance and install ridge vents, soffit vents, and intake baffles as needed.
Additional Services
A complete exterior package from one contractor means fewer coordination headaches and a single warranty contact.
Seamless Aluminum Gutters
We fabricate seamless gutters on-site in 5" and 6" widths. Seamless means fewer joints — fewer joints means fewer leaks. Installed with hidden hangers every 18".
LeafGuard Gutter Protection
We install LeafGuard and K-Guard gutter guard systems to eliminate cleaning and prevent clogging. Especially valuable for homes with mature trees.
Siding Repair & Replacement
We install James Hardie fiber cement siding, LP SmartSide, and vinyl siding. Storm damage to siding often accompanies roof damage — we handle both in a single project.
Skylight Install & Repair
We install Velux skylights and repair leaking or failing skylights of any brand. A properly installed skylight should last as long as your roof.
Ice Dam Prevention
Minnesota ice dams are preventable. We install heat cables, improve attic insulation and ventilation, and upgrade ice-and-water shield coverage to combat ice dam formation.
